Underoath:2010

Ø (Disambiguation)  Underoath's much awaited seventh studio album was released on November 9, 2010. All eyes were on Underoath as they prepared to enter the studio without founding member, drummer, vocalist, Aaron Gillespie. Everyone was interested in how the band would deal with Aaron's departure. He was a key member in the band not only as a drummer but Aaron provided most of the clean vocals for the band. The pressure was on new drummer Daniel Davison formerly of Norma Jean and lead vocalist Spencer Chamberlain. Daniel Davison turned out to be a great fit and the album turned out to be one of their best albums to date. The album certainly is different then past albums but sometimes that is a good thing. Spencer Chamberlains performance on the record should also be mentioned. Taking over clean vocals and screamed vocals Chamberlain delivered. I thoroughly enjoyed the new record. I'm sure some fans were disappointed with the lineup change. I personally believe it was handled nicely and made for a good record. Everything sounds great and I can't wait to hear more from the new lineup.

Long Live: The Chariot

On November 23, 2010 the band The Chariot released their fourth studio album titled Long Live. I picked up this album the day that it was released. The Chariot is one of my favorite bands. I have have seen them preform on numerous occasions at numerous venues. I was surely not disappointed after I gave the album a thorough listening to. This is definatly a great album. This sort of music is certainly an Acquired taste. I recommend that you give it a listen and see how you feel about it. I also suggest watching a few live videos of the band. The band's live show is the biggest reason why I love them. They bring their live feel to their albums the best that they can. That is why they are so different and that is why they are so good.

I want to see the world and preform music for many different people. I enjoy listening, writing, playing, and recording music. I hope that I can provide up to date information on various artists and music with this blog. I also want to voice my opinion on the latest music. I have always wanted to start a music blog so now is my chance I hope people will be able to get something out of it and enjoy it.
